One thing that I have noticed in the last two months of school at the Faculty of Education is that there is a lot of group work projects. I love working in groups and find that collaborating on projects and sharing ideas usually leads to a stronger final product.
However, I am also finding that there is very little time to actually meet in person and collaborative. Our schedules often conflict and members usually have different priorities according to whenever their next assignment is due.
Enter Google Docs.
For many of my group projects, we have created and shared a Google Doc among the members of the group so that we can contribute our individual parts when we have a chance.
For example, for my law class we have a group case study analysis where each member has to write notes on all of the cases, then individually discuss one and decide what the legal outcome of that case is. This was a perfect opportunity to create a Google Doc so that we can each add notes and contribute to each other's points at our leisure. Then we can use the collaborative notes to build our individual cases for the final assignment.
Oh, the power of Google.
